Leaving the island
July 19, 2006 on 9:22 am | In Computing | Comments OffSo far I have lived inside my own blogging world. It only consisted of: me. I don’t analyse the traffic on my site. I never cared about signing up over at technorati. I don’t give much about the discussion how relevant the blogosphere is because I know my blog is insignificant.
Well, this all changed this morning when WordPress informed me that Marc Abramowitz has linked to my site. Nice dude, nice blog. I was thrilled.
I signed up at technorati which tells me
Rank: 1,148,387 (1 links from 1 sites)
I am getting famous! Time to add some banner advertisment.
On a more serious note: I feel very honored that somebody noticed my Ubuntu and Joomla article – after all I wrote it to help others. Now I also sort of get the idea why it makes sense to link blogs. My blog is still insignificant – but it’s a nice insignificant blog.
