Ubuntu Demon reports in his blog a story about kids saying Thank You for the two old computers they are able to use with Edubuntu installed. It’s one of those heartwarming stories you would never see from Microsoft.

It’s not like I don’t care

Recently, I have had repeated questions on how to post comments and/or how to log into my website. The answer is very simple: neither is possible.

It’s not like I don’t care about any comments and feedback. However, fighting all the spam is a never ending story that made me decide to simply turn everything off. I reached this decision when spammers were able to flood my comments despite posting comments required a registration and noone except me was ever registered!

Vowe keeps writing frustrated posts from time to time about spam and on one occasion even thought about abandoning his site despite its huge success. Today, David Seah has published a post on his ordeal with spam and all his countermeasures. It’s sick how many people have to suffer just because of the recklessness of a few. So that’s why there are no comments, sorry. If you want to give feedback, I welcome your mail. :)

Too late

Since I am in the middle of my finals I don’t have to hand in papers to my professors anymore, so this discovery definitely came too late. On the Communications From Elsewhere website they feature a Postmodernism Generator that writes short articles for you, bibliography included. Ahhh, that makes life easy in social sciences. :D
