Shannon-Weaver is passé
February 18, 2007 on 10:37 pm | In Psychology |There’s no doubt, the Shannon-Weaver Model is absolutely essential in the theory of communication and media psychology. However, it is rather limited as it knows only one sender and one receiver. While this model is too limited to describe even such “easy” settings like face-to-face communication, its limits become especially evident in these times where the boundaries between content creators and consumers increasingly get blurred.
