Starfire is getting hotter

When you are in the usability scene, starfire, the movie about a next generation desk, is one of the most astonishing examples of video prototyping. Obviously, we still haven’t that kind of computing experience, but the latest demonstration of touch screens in combination with 3D graphics and a semantic net seems very promising.

On this picture you can see me in the cockpit of a crane at the trash-dump of the city of Zurich. Now I know how tons of trash smell: sweet. It has a sweet, but also very caustic smell. The operator’s job is to mix the various types of trash for optimal results and then lift them into the furnace.
